Student Ambassadors
Student ambassadors contribute to the center’s mission, develop leadership skills and network within the IndustryX ecosystem. They are supporting forces behind technical content development, technology partner recruitment, client recruitment, web content, social media and graphic design. Our student ambassadors are carefully selected based on their outstanding achievements, innovative outlook and enthusiasm.

- Technical Content Lead
Joshua Emakhu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at WSU. His current research focuses on healthcare quality improvement, emphasizing improving treatment decisions in patients with clinical concerns of Acute Coronary Syndrome. He is an active member of IEOM, IISE, and SAVE International.
- Social Media Ambassador
Thushara Prabha is currently an undergraduate student at Wayne State University majoring in electrical and computer engineering. Expected to graduate in May 2021, her areas of interest include the automotive industry, electric vehicles, power engineering and related fields. During her academic career, she has taken courses in electrical energy systems, engineering optics and other related topics. Apart from that, her interests include art, photography, cooking and graphic design, which she learned in a two-year technical education program.
Jaideep Singh
- Digital Supply Chain Ambassador
Jaideep (Jay) Singh has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in automotive engineering with a specialization in advanced powertrain technology from Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research. Jaideep is currently pursuing his MBA at Wayne State University with a concentration in supply chain and information system management. He works as a senior electric drive calibration and integration engineer at General Motors, has over 15 papers published in SAE and is certified as a Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) black belt. His areas of interest include data processing scripting, automotive design and controls, operations, supply chain, production, green technology and technology consulting.
Hammad Ahmed
- Digital Supply Chain Ambassador
Hammad Ahmed is a senior in the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University working toward completing a double major in supply chain and information systems. During his study abroad program in Italy, Hammad gained experience analyzing lean and just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing supply chain systems. He also worked on various procurement cases, one of which involved developing solutions for choosing automotive suppliers.
Elham Taghizadeh
- Digital Supply Chain Ambassador
Elham Taghizadeh received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, in 2010 and 2012, respectively. She is currently working toward her Ph.D. in industrial and systems engineering at Wayne State University. Elham’s research interests include supply chain management, optimization, network resilience, big data enabled analytics and data-driven decision making.
Ameen Khabbaz
- Data Science Ambassador
Ameen Khabbaz is currently a master’s student at Wayne State University. He is detail-oriented with leadership and analytical skills. Prior to enrolling in the Data Science and Business Analytics program, Ameen received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Western New England University. He worked in the manufacturing industry, where he was involved in process improvement projects. His experience with data in his job helped him develop an interest in the data science field.
Sharayu Madrewar
- Digital Supply Chain Ambassador
Sharayu Madrewar is working toward her master’s degree in industrial engineering at Wayne State University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology in, Pune, India. She is a critical thinker with the ability to problem-solve in a pragmatic way, which enhances her leadership quality for decision making. Her interests include optimization, supply chain strategies and Industry 4.0.
Bharath Janapareddi
- Data Science Ambassador
Bharath Janapareddi is currently working toward a master’s degree in data science and business analytics at Wayne State University. Bharath is an entry-level data scientist who takes pride in building models that translate data points into business insights. He uses his skills to work on different projects in academic work and is now eager to apply the same knowledge to real-world business problems.

Avanthika Sinha is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with University Honors at Wayne State University. She is a driven and hardworking student who aspires to gain valuable, hands on experience in the technical industry. Avanthika has a firm understanding of engineering principles with strong technical skills, as she has worked on multiple projects that utilized different computer software including Siemens NX, C++ and Verilog. She aspires to implement her knowledge of engineering to create innovative technology that will help a community bigger than herself and her network.
Yazeed Alomari
- Technical Content Ambassador
Yazeed Alomari is in his junior year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering at Wayne State University. Yazeed is quite active on campus, serving on multiple student organization boards including the Wayne State chapter of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). During his time at Wayne State, he has completed multiple case studies and analyses on topics related to the aviation industry. His interests include innovation in mobility and urban infrastructure development.
Lucas Jackman
- Technical Content Ambassador
Lucas Jackman is working toward a major in computer science from Wayne State University’s College of Engineering. During his academic career, Lucas has been awarded first place in logic competing in the Brother Rice Scholastic Olympics and received a recognition of excellence in computer science from Ernest W. Seaholm Highschool. Lucas’ career interests include additive manufacturing, computing, networked solutions, engineering and security.
Edward Churches
- Technical Content Ambassador
Edward Churches has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Central Michigan University and is currently pursuing his master’s degree at Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business with a dual concentration in marketing and entrepreneurship & innovation. Edward works for Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) in the Manufacturing Leadership Development Program (MLDP) where he leads cost-savings and process improvement projects within the automotive manufacturing division. His interests include marketing, brand management and strategy, environmental sustainability and Industry 4.0.
