Leslie Monplaisir
Product Development
Leslie Monplaisir is associate dean for academic and student affairs and a professor of industrial and systems engineering in the College of Engineering at Wayne State University (WSU). He is also a lead researcher and director of the Product Development and Systems Engineering Consortium at WSU. His research interests are generally in data-driven product development analytics that include product architecture optimization, product platform optimization, design of lean systems and services and healthcare system design. He has authored over 100 publications in the mentioned areas with funded research from the National Science Foundation, Ford, General Motors, Sun Microsystems, Tardec, the Department of Veterans Affairs.
