Alper Murat is an associate professor of industrial and systems engineering at Wayne State University. His research interests include application of optimization modeling and simulation techniques and data mining in the fields of supply chain management, logistics and transportation, product development, quality, reliability and healthcare. He is the principal investigator of research projects funded by the VA, VAVERC VISN-11, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Department of Homeland Security, General Dynamics and industry. He has published technical articles in premium journals and conferences in related fields.
