We went through this cost analysis about two years ago for our property. Higher grade UV stabilized bins cost more upfront but over a three year period worked out cheaper since we stopped replacing entire units every single summer. Replaceable lids and wheels as separate parts was a good call too, saved us from tossing whole bins over one broken component.
