The value of certain vintage Apple products lies in their rarity, historical significance, condition, and association with significant events in the history of Apple Inc. Vintage computers like the Apple-1 and Apple Lisa are particularly collectible because there are not many existing original versions of them, and some of the best condition units have fetched extremely high auction prices. Original versions of the Macintosh 128K, Apple II, first generation iPod, and vintage iPhones are also collectible if they are working properly and still in their original packaging and accessories. However, not all old Apple devices are automatically collectible. The model, year of manufacture, condition, authenticity, documentation, and past ownership are among other factors that influence the price of vintage Apple products.
